JOB DESCRIPTION

Job summary:

  • Primarily responsible for the overall case management of clients under the medical or educational assistance programs and provides support in the implementation of disaster relief and livelihood programs.

Main duties & responsibilities:

  • Manages case accounts of beneficiaries of medical, scholarship, disaster relief, and/or livelihood programs.
  • Ensures that case folders are regularly and accurately updated on time.
  • Conducts regular home visits for long-term and open case beneficiaries.
  • Prepares and submits to the head and other stakeholders all necessary evaluation reports of assigned cases; immediately escalates reports or findings needing urgent attention.
  • Coordinates and leads all necessary staff work in preparing case presentation materials for the weekly case conferences.
  • Whenever applicable, elevates and presents cases to the relevant committees (such as medical or educational assistance committees).
  • Coordinates, with the Volunteer Affairs Office, staff work necessary pertaining to requests of Volunteers to join the home visits and related Charity Department activities.
  • Supports major disaster relief operations managed by volunteers, TCF-Taiwan, and or through the Office of the CEO (Chief Executive Officer).
  • Submits monthly calendar of activities and post-activity reports.
  • Collaborates with and provides the Communications Department with the necessary leads required in producing news articles and features and other multi-media content.
  • Whenever designated, represents Tzu Chi Philippines in network building and partnership concerns, such as meetings, conferences, and related external affairs endeavors. Performs other related duties appropriate to the role, as required by foundation operations, and assigned by superiors.

Qualifications Standards:

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in social work

Professional Experience

  • Must be a Registered Social Worker with a valid license
  • With at least 2years of work experience

Technical Competencies (Job Knowledge and Skills)

  • Excellent communications skills (both written and verbal); grammatically and structurally proper, and can articulate and compose coherent report
  • Flexible and has excellent interpersonal skills and networking aptitude
  • Understands and advocates basic social development, child/youth rights, and welfare related regulations/laws in writing and publishing stories that include these special/protected sectors
  • Can remain calm under pressure and deliver to very tight and demanding deadlines
  • Self-starter/takes initiative to attend to case management needs
  • Demonstrated basic knowledge and skills using digital messaging platforms (e.g., Facebook- Messenger, Line, Viber, WeChat, etc.)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php20,000.00 - Php23,000.00 per month

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
