About The Role
As an
Accounting Intern, you will support the Accounting Team by assisting both the Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R) functions. This role provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in financial operations, enhance your accounting skills, and contribute to the smooth flow of financial processes within the company.
Key Responsibilities
General Support:
- Assist in data entry, record-keeping, and maintaining financial documents such as invoices, receipts, and payment vouchers.
- Help ensure financial transactions are accurately recorded and filed according to company policies.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners regarding financial documentation and follow-ups.
Accounts Payable (A/P) Support:
- Help document invoices from providers, as well as compile expense reports and reimbursement requests.
- Assist in preparing payment schedules and processing vendor payments.
Accounts Receivable (A/R) Support:
- Prepare invoices to clients and partners.
- Track and update customer payments, ensuring account records are accurate.
- Assist in reconciling customer accounts and following up on outstanding balances.
Compliance and Reporting:
- Help gather and organize financial records for audits and compliance requirements.
- Support month-end and year-end reporting by compiling necessary documentation.
- Ensure confidentiality and compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes (coursework or relevant experience preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Google Workspace (experience with financial software is a plus).
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
