Description
The Infrastructure Architect develops and designs an interoperable model of the IT infrastructure architecture, covering components such as network, servers, mainframes, desktops, and storage subsystems. The Enterprise Architect ensures the alignment between the bank’s strategies and drivers, and management priorities.
Responsibilities
Stakeholder Management
- Represents IT Group and engages project stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of the infrastructure or application project, based on the analysis of their needs and potential impact on project success
- Provides a central point of information for all related technology activities of the infrastructure or application project when attending meetings and appropriate management forums
- Promotes collaboration among banking divisions impacted by the infrastructure or application project
Enterprise Architecture
- Develops the criteria for the selection of IT infrastructure assets and resources and ensures that all acquisitions are in line with the IT infrastructure architecture framework
- Aligns IT with the strategy and business requirements so that information management decisions are always made to maximize the benefit for the bank as a whole
- Assists in the oversight and prioritization of technology projects, and ensures that projects align with the technology that provides the best return on investment
- Participates as a subject matter expert in infrastructure or application projects and provide guidance to the development of the technical architectural design and implementation plan
- Works in cross-functional teams including business and IT to deliver business functionality
- Ensures the stability of IT systems, especially focusing on those supporting digital channels and providing transactional core
- Ensures sufficient level of information security across both technical and organizational dimensions
- Ensures the proper implementation of IT infrastructure components
- Develops capacity planning methodologies and ensure that technology assets have adequate capacity for business growth
- Ensures that the overall IT infrastructure architecture is comparable with industry standards and compliant with regulatory and audit guidelines
- Addresses the regulators’ expectations on end-to-end infrastructure particularly control functions
Training and Development
- Stays current on technical specifications for hardware and software products by attending technical trainings and other learning opportunities
- Collaborates with other Enterprise Architects to encourage knowledge sharing and growth
Qualifications
- College Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or other related courses
- Must have implementation experience
- At least 10 years of experience in IT and business environments including architecture design and deployment, systems lifecycle management, IT infrastructure planning and operations.
- At least 5 years of experience in a financial services institution
- At least 3 years of leadership experience managing cross functional teams
- Working knowledge on the following areas:Project Management, ITIL Framework
- Working knowledge in IT Infrastructure Design and Planning, Systems Architecture, Hardware, software, application, and systems engineering, Full Lifecycle Testing, IT Quality Management, Advanced Analysis and Design
- Must have leadership skills, ability to guide, influence, motivate and develop confidence of subordinates and co-employees
