Senior Claims Assistant (Motor Claims)

Location: Alabang

Work Set Up: Full time, Weekdays (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)

Salary: ₱25,000 - ₱30,000


Job Summary:

The Senior Claims Assistant – Motor Claims is responsible for the efficient processing, settlement, and management of motor claims, including coordination with reinsurers, third parties, and legal teams for recoveries. The role requires strong technical knowledge of non-life insurance, analytical skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects and complex cases while ensuring compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and regulatory standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Claims Processing – Motor Claims: Execute efficient and timely processing of motor claims, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with claims guidelines
  • Claims with Reinsurance (RI): Ensure prompt submission, acknowledgment, and coordination with reinsurers for possible recoveries of their respective shares
  • Inward RI Claims: Process immediate settlement of valid inward reinsurance claims supported with complete documentation
  • Claims Recovery & Legal Coordination: Refer claims to Legal for possible third-party recoveries. Achieve at least 50%–100% recovery of claims expenses through negotiations and follow-ups
  • Other Duties: Perform other related tasks assigned by management in support of the overall claims function
  • Occasional Functions: Conduct training sessions for branches and/or agents on claims processing, settlement, and procedures. Attend claims-related meetings, including Insurance Commission (IC) meetings and discussions with agents.


Qualifications:

  • Graduate of any 4-year course, preferably in Management, Accounting, or related fields
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience in non-life insurance, preferably in claims processing
  • Strong knowledge of motor claims and basic non-life insurance principles
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication (oral & written), and presentation skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously and prioritizing deadlines
  • Skilled in problem-solving and decision-making, especially under pressure
  • Demonstrates resilience, adaptability, and a positive, innovative mindset
  • Ability to influence and engage with senior management and external stakeholders
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Databases)
  • Ability to think strategically and execute effectively with strong follow-through
