Description

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, an established financial services firm with over 10 years of successful practice, for a Financial Planner (Paraplanner-focused role). This position is ideal for a detail-oriented financial planning professional who enjoys the technical and analytical side of financial planning and prefers a collaborative, behind-the-scenes role supporting advisors and clients.

You’ll work closely with the Lead Advisor and planning team to build high-quality financial plans, retirement strategies, and investment analyses in a stable, growth-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Lead Advisor in developing comprehensive financial planning recommendations
• Prepare retirement income plans, strategies, and financial planning reports
• Analyze investment portfolios and asset allocations
• Assist with client onboarding and transition processes
• Prepare financial planning and tax-related analyses using planning software
• Run annuity illustrations and investment scenarios
• Handle ad-hoc financial analyses and planning requests
• Collaborate with advisors and team members on client cases
• Occasionally support client communications for routine updates

Requirements

• 3 years of experience in financial services, financial planning, or advisory support
• Experience in financial planning, paraplanning, or advisor support functions
• Strong Excel and analytical skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Interest in a technical, in-office financial planning role

Nice to Have

• CFP, CPA, Series 65 or Series 66 (or progress toward certification)
• Experience as a Service Advisor, Financial Planner, or Financial Advisor
• Familiarity with financial planning, tax planning, and retirement planning tools
