Description

  • Lead and manage the loans department, ensuring efficient processing and high-quality service delivery.
  • Develop and implement loan policies, credit risk assessment procedures, and control mechanisms aligned with regulatory and internal standards.
  • Supervise and guide loan officers and analysts in evaluating applicants’ financial status, creditworthiness, and property evaluations.
  • Review, approve, or escalate high-value and complex loan applications, particularly for corporate clients.
  • Analyze loan portfolio performance, recommend strategic initiatives, and mitigate credit risks.
  • Strengthen and expand the corporate client base through strategic market analysis and relationship-building.
  • Coordinate with underwriters, credit analysts, and other departments to resolve loan-related issues and ensure efficient loan cycle management.
  • Monitor and manage delinquent loan accounts, negotiate repayment arrangements, and oversee recovery processes including asset liquidation.
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of regulatory and management reports, including submissions to the BSP and Head Office.
  • Stay updated on financial products, market trends, and regulatory changes to drive innovation in lending strategies.
  • Lead training, development, and performance management of the loans team.
  • Represent the bank in high-level client meetings and industry-related engagements to build credibility and visibility

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years’ progressive experience in loan and credit functions, including at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Strong background in corporate finance, banking, and credit evaluation.
  • Excellent leadership, strategic planning, and decision-making abilities.
  • Advanced skills in financial analysis, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and client management skills.
  • Proficiency in reporting, loan systems, and financial documentation.
