Description
- Review and validate medical billing codes for accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with coding standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation.
- Conduct audits to identify coding discrepancies.
- Provide training and support to coding staff.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding updates and changes.
- Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a related field required.
- Experience Level: 1-3 years of experience in charge auditing or coding.
- Skills and Competencies: Proficiency in IP DRG coding, medical terminology, outpatient coding, CPT/ICD-10/HCP coding, and injection/infusion coding.
- Responsibilities and Duties: Conduct audits, manage audit trails, resolve discrepancies, and ensure compliance.
- Working Conditions: Primarily office environment with possible remote work.
- Qualities and Traits: Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication.
