Description

The Licensing Manager is responsible for leading and managing the Licensing Department to ensure its efficient and effective operation. This role involves developing and executing licensing strategies, negotiating agreements, and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders. The Licensing Manager will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations while maximizing revenue opportunities for FILSCAP.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Department Management & Leadership
  • Manage and lead the Licensing Department, ensuring its smooth operation.
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve departmental goals and targets.
  • Provide guidance and support to licensing team members, fostering a productive work environment.
  • Licensing Operations & Strategy
  • Address and resolve licensing-related issues and concerns that arise within FILSCAP.
  • Formulate and implement effective business and licensing strategies to attract new licensees and maximize revenue generation.
  • Identify opportunities for growth and expansion of licensing activities.
  • Agreement Negotiation & Relationship Management
  • Negotiate licensing agreements with partners and licensees to secure favorable terms for FILSCAP.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain strong relationships with employees, trustees, members, and clients.
  • Represent FILSCAP in meetings, conferences, and negotiations with stakeholders.
  • Compliance & Ethical Standards
  • Ensure that all licensing activities comply with FILSCAP’s rules, policies, and legal requirements.
  • Uphold ethical standards in all licensing transactions and partnerships.

Other Duties

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager, President, or Board of Trustees.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Intellectual Property, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in licensing, business development, or a related field.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute business strategies.
  • Knowledge of licensing laws and regulations is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
