Description

The Junior Application Architect manages application development and troubleshooting. The Junior Application Architect may work on planning and designing applications or oversee a team of developers, addressing coding or programming issues as they arise

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with senior architects/head to determine business-specific application needs.
  • Compiles and implements application development plans for new or existing applications.
  • Leads the application development team and supervise the design, testing, and modification stages
  • Demonstrates application prototypes and integrates user feedback.
  • Writes scripts and codes for applications, as well as installs and updates applications
  • Provides end-users with technical support.
  • Runs diagnostic tests and perform debugging procedures.
  • Performs application integration, maintenance, upgrades, and migration.
  • Documents application development processes, procedures, and standards.
  • Integrates trends in application architecture in application development projects.
  • Performs such other functions as may be assigned by the supervising head from time to time

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a 4-year college degree in Computer Science, IT or other related courses
  • At least 3 years of experience as an Application Architect
  • At least 5 years of experience in the IT industry
  • Has experience building solutions across Low code Cloud based SaaS platforms and building custom applications
  • Has experience in banking domain (Payments, Integration, SME banking etc.)
  • Has experience working with cloud-native application framework
  • Has experience in working on complex and strategic projects
  • Has experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Has knowledge in SQL and noSQL Databases
  • Has strong understanding of architecture patterns, cloud computing and distributed systems.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical abilities
  • Effective communication and leadership skills
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all the stakeholders
