  • Extensive knowledge of sushi and teppanyaki preparation techniques, ingredients, and presentation.
  • Manage kitchen staff and ensure food quality and safety standards.
  • Design seasonal menus and develop new recipes.
  • Source and select high-quality ingredients.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Train kitchen staff in Japanese cooking techniques.
  • Collaborate with management on inventory and supplies.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Sushi Chef and Teppanyaki Chef in a reputable hotel/resort.
  • Culinary school diploma or equivalent professional experience in Japanese cuisine.
  • Extensive knowledge of sushi and teppanyaki preparation techniques, ingredients, and presentation.
  • Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent knife skills and attention to detail.
  • Creativity in developing new dishes and presentations.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment.
