PRODUCTION WORKER

Area of Assignment: Minglanilla Branch


Production Worker is responsible for executing the basic production processes involved in the preparation, shaping, cooking/baking, and packing of baked products. The role ensures adherence to quality, consistency, hygiene, and safety standards throughout all stages of production. The position also includes ingredient preparation, equipment cleaning, and proper handling of raw materials and finished goods.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists in the dough preparation including mixing, resting and laminating based on the production formula.
  • Shapes dough ensuring uniformity in size and thickness.
  • Roll, fold, and laminate dough according to process specifications to achieve the texture characteristic.
  • Applies proper timing and handling techniques to maintain dough integrity.
  • Arranges shaped dough on baking trays and assist in loading/unloading ovens under the supervision of the baker.
  • Monitors baking trays for quality and report any issues with appearance, doneness, or consistency.
  • Assists in setting baking timers, checking for proper doneness, and rotating trays for even cooking.
  • Prepares products for packing in accordance with packaging and labelling guidelines.
  • Checks for visual defects and sort out broken or non-conforming pieces.
  • Sorts and removes defective items that do not meet product standards.
  • Packs items according to product type, quantity, and labelling requirements.
  • Ensures hygienic handling and sealing of products.
  • Follows proper storage protocols and help ensure ingredients are rotated using FIFO (first-in, first-out.
  • Assists in monitoring and restocking production materials such as flour, sugar, oil, and packaging supplies and alerts supervisor regarding low stock or potential spoilage of ingredients.
  • Maintains cleanliness of workstations, tools, trays, and equipment before, during, and after production.
  • Follows daily cleaning schedules and participate in deep cleaning of production areas as required.
  • Disposes of waste properly and ensure materials are stored in an organized manner.
  • Follows all food safety, hygiene and workplace safety protocols as set by the company.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior experience in bakery or food production is an advantage.
  • Ability to perform manual tasks such as shaping dough and handling hot trays.
  • Understanding of basic food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Willingness to be trained in various product processes and rotate tasks as needed


WORKING CONDITION

  • Primarily based in a food production or manufacturing environment.
  • May be required to work in shifts or during weekends depending on production schedules.
  • Exposure to typical production facility conditions such as temperature variations, noise, and food processing equipment.
