The Telecom Technician is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of telecommunications systems and network equipment. This role ensures all communication lines, cabling, and related hardware function efficiently to support uninterrupted service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain telecom systems, equipment, and network devices
• Perform troubleshooting and repair of voice, data, and signal transmission issues
• Conduct testing and analysis using telecom tools such as OTDR, power meters, and network analyzers
• Handle fiber optic and copper cabling installation, splicing, and termination
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on telecommunications infrastructure
• Ensure all installations comply with industry standards and safety regulations
• Prepare technical reports and documentation for completed work
• Coordinate with engineers and other technicians for system integration and upgrades
• Support service restoration and field maintenance activities
• Maintain tools, test instruments, and equipment in good working condition

Qualifications:

• Graduate of any telecommunications-related course or possesses equivalent relevant experience
• Experience in telecommunications installation, maintenance, or technical support is an advantage

Skills Required:

• Installation and configuration of telecom systems and equipment
• Network cabling (Fiber Optic / UTP) and signal testing
• Troubleshooting and preventive maintenance
• Knowledge of switches, routers, and network devices
• Understanding of RF systems and telecommunications standards
• Ability to read and interpret circuit and wiring diagrams
• Proficiency in using telecom testing tools (OTDR, power meter, crimper, splicer, etc.)
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety procedures
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Time management and problem-solving abilities

General Qualifications (Applicable to All Positions):

• Must be willing to travel or accept assignments anywhere in the Philippines
• Work schedule: 8 hours per day, Monday to Saturday
• No overtime, but incentives are provided
