PHILMETAL PRODUCTS, Inc.' is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Animal Welfare Lawyer to join our thriving team in Makati City Metro Manila. In this full-time role, you will play a crucial part in advancing our commitment to animal welfare and sustainability within the legal and policy landscape.

What you'll be doing

• Providing expert legal counsel and representation on a wide range of animal welfare issues, including legislation, regulations, and litigation
• Researching and analyzing relevant laws, regulations, and judicial decisions to develop comprehensive legal strategies
• Collaborating with government agencies, industry partners, and advocacy groups to shape and influence animal welfare policies
• Drafting and reviewing legal documents, such as contracts, agreements, and policy briefs
• Representing the company in legal proceedings, including court hearings and administrative proceedings
• Staying up-to-date with the latest developments in animal welfare law and advising the organization accordingly
• Mentoring and guiding junior legal professionals within the team

What we're looking for

• Juris Doctor degree or equivalent legal qualification
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in animal welfare law or a related field
• Demonstrated expertise in navigating the legal and regulatory landscape pertaining to animal welfare
• Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively advocate for client interests
• Collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Passion for animal welfare and a commitment to sustainability
