Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience in finance, accounting, or operations, with knowledge of US nonprofit compliance
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and financial reporting, including monthly close and bank reconciliations
  • Strong skills in Excel/Google Sheets for budgeting, forecasts, and managing restricted funds
  • Experience managing donor and grant finance, including records, invoices, and compliance
  • Experience handling operational tasks, including vendor records, contracts, insurance, and regulatory filings
  • Native-level English with professionalism, discretion, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
  • Preferred: prior nonprofit experience, familiarity with CRM and donation systems, and ability to collaborate with global team
  • Working Schedule: Minimum 100 hours/month (Israel Timezone)


Responsibilities:

Financial Management

  • Oversee US entity accounting, bookkeeping, monthly financial close, and bank reconciliation.
  • Maintain accurate QuickBooks records, chart of accounts, and financial controls.
  • Implement and improve financial procedures, internal controls, and documentation.
  • Track income, expenses, grants, restricted funds, and program budgets.
  • Support preparation of quarterly financial reports for senior management and Board.
  • Assist with annual budget development and rolling forecasts.
  • Prepare and organize materials for CPA review, tax filings (including Form 990), audits, and compliance checks.

Payroll & Benefits

  • Track salary allocations, time records, and employment documentation.
  • Support compliance with federal and state employment standards.

Donor & Grant Finance

  • Maintain accurate donor financial records, pledges, payment schedules, and grant restrictions.
  • Support grant reporting by preparing financial summaries, invoices, and expense breakdowns.
  • Ensure compliance with funder requirements, charitable reporting, and designation of restricted gifts.

Operations & Administration

  • Maintain vendor records, contracts, W-9s, and payment schedules.
  • Coordinate insurance renewals, organizational registration, and regulatory filings.
  • Support donation systems (including online giving platforms), with reconciliation and reporting.
  • Liaise with banks, CPA, legal advisors, and payroll provider as needed
  • Support documentation for retreats, events, and US-based programming.
