Overview:

As a Business Development Officer, you’ll lead the charge in expanding our merchant network. You’ll identify high-potential partners and build strong, value-driven relationships that support Xpress’ growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue prospective merchant-partners in strategic categories and areas.
  • Lead outreach efforts through cold calling, field visits, and networking events.
  • Conduct compelling sales presentations customized to each merchant’s business goals.
  • Negotiate and close partnership deals aligned with growth and quality standards.
  • Work with internal teams to ensure smooth merchant onboarding and operational readiness.
  • Track lead pipeline and report on acquisition progress, conversion rates, and key trends.
  • Use market intelligence and competitor analysis to refine merchant acquisition strategy.
  • Support Sales Manager with insights, campaign execution, and go-to-market initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years in business development, B2B sales, or merchant acquisition.
  • Proven ability to win deals and build strong pipelines.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and planning skills.
  • Preferably with experience in F&B, grocery, or retail tech ecosystems.
