About the Role

We’re looking for a sharp, strategic, and proactive Portfolio Analyst to help us manage and grow a portfolio of early-stage ventures. In this role, you’ll be responsible for providing visibility across our portfolio, analyzing venture performance, and supporting decision-making at the studio level. You’ll work closely with venture teams, the studio leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure we’re tracking what matters, identifying early signals, and unlocking the insights that drive smarter resource allocation and venture success.

This role is perfect for someone who wants to build pattern recognition across multiple startups, operate at the intersection of strategy and execution, and play a behind-the-scenes but high-impact role in helping early-stage companies succeed.

What You’ll Do

Portfolio Tracking & Performance Management

• Monitor key metrics across ventures — including traction, burn rate, runway, milestones, and risk flags
• Build and maintain dashboards, tracking tools, and reports for internal leadership and board use
• Standardize reporting processes and ensure data is consistently updated and reliable

Strategic & Financial Analysis

• Analyze business models, growth drivers, and KPIs to support venture assessments
• Conduct financial modeling, unit economics analysis, and scenario planning
• Provide input into investment committee decisions, spin-out readiness, and prioritization

Operational & Process Support

• Help streamline internal studio processes for governance, funding, and venture reviews
• Collaborate with venture teams to embed lightweight performance monitoring
• Drive the creation of templates and internal resources that help teams operate with clarity

Insight Generation & Communication

• Conduct market scans, benchmarking exercises, and insight reports to inform studio strategy
• Prepare internal memos and summaries that distill complex data into clear narratives
• Support quarterly planning, board updates, and studio-wide strategic reviews

In Your First 90 Days, You Will

• Build and implement a live dashboard that tracks key metrics for all active ventures
• Standardize reporting inputs and cadences across all portfolio companies
• Complete a risk and performance audit of current ventures with clear recommendations
• Contribute to one major strategy review or investment committee meeting with actionable analysis
• Establish yourself as the go-to person for clarity on venture performance

What We’re Looking For

• 2–4 years of experience in strategy consulting, venture capital, corporate strategy, startup ops, or investment banking
• Strong analytical toolkit — including proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, financial modeling, and performance analysis
• Excellent communication and presentation skills — able to distill data into clear insights
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive with a strong sense of ownership
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable managing multiple workstreams and priorities with minimal supervision
• Passion for startups, entrepreneurship, and building ventures from the ground up

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience supporting a portfolio of startups or working in a venture studio, accelerator, or innovation team
• Hands-on involvement in startup operations, ideally in an early-stage, resource-constrained environment
• Familiarity with venture funding instruments, cap tables, term sheets, and startup metrics
• Experience designing or managing internal reporting systems, dashboards, or investor updates
• Comfort with tools like Airtable, Notion, Power BI, Tableau, or Metabase
• Exposure to Southeast Asian markets or impact-driven sectors (e.g., energy, fintech, climate, mobility)
• Demonstrated ability to balance precision with speed — knowing when to dive deep and when to ship fast
