Description

The Marketing Executive works with the immediate superior to develop and implement a marketing mix plan (4Ps – Price, Product, Promotion and Place) for the Company’s existing and new products, with an objective to achieve maximum market share and revenue growth.


Key Responsibilities / Duties

Lead Management


· To generate leads for the company through various sources such as e- marketing, events, focus group activities, campaigns, and from third party sources e.g. BCI subscription, government websites, etc.

· To ensure lead engagement by the Sales team with target and measures of success

· To monitor, analyze, report, and review lead conversion and to recommend steps for improvement


Marketing Plan and Strategy


· To prepare the annual marketing plan and execute marketing strategies such as advertising and promotional (A&P) activities, product line logic, and the formulation of product promotions and campaigns for the Company

· To ensure achievement of marketing objectives by actively participating in developing and implementing detailed marketing concepts, plans and strategies, based on trends, competitors’ information and economic conditions

· To ensure achievement of number of active customers (AC) target by focusing company activities and initiatives on customer acquisition, retention of AC, and reactivation of lapsing and lapsed customers ·

To assist in developing and implementing A & P activities for the respective products, industries, and channels so as to create awareness and as such increase market share · To monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the A & P activities and to provide feedback to the General Manager (GM) for improvement

· To monitor the respective segment’s annual A & P budgets, and to advise the GM on the expense pattern Promotion (20%) · To actively participate in organizing and coordinating product launches, road shows, exhibitions, workshops, focus group / segments activities and training seminars

· To source for venues, prepare invitation lists and cards for distribution to clients

· To conduct marketing surveys, gather information on competitors' activities and price levels in order to develop plans to improve market share and to counteract such competitor activities – this will determine the market position and directions of the respective products distributed by the Company

· To ensure the marketing directions are appropriately translated into creative advertisements and are in line with the Group’s image

· To assist in planning promotional materials and to liaise with the advertising agencies for the production of such materials Regional Campaigns (20%)

· To share the regional campaign to the Company and together with the team, conduct planning, build strategies, ensure execution, and evaluate process and progress

· To execute the regional campaigns to the Company by setting up targets, promoting engagement and actions among colleagues especially by the Sales team and guaranteeing maximum customer engagement; to share the monthly progress to the Company and suggestions for action

· To represent the Company in the monthly Regional marketing meeting and report the updates and progress of the different regional campaigns

· To prepare data, conduct data analytics, review, plan and provide AC and sales target for the Company’s growth drivers - channels, industries, ABC+New customers, and territories; and also, to provide monthly update on the said growth drivers

· To collate and evaluate relevant market data from various sources and to maintain and update such information into the Company’s databases accordingly

· To keep abreast with the development of the industry so as to introduce strategies to enable the Company to keep pace with development

· To assist in the inventory turnover analysis and provide recommendation


Functional Role / Secondary Function


· To comply with all relevant EHS legal and other requirements associated with the job functions and responsibilities

· To comply with all EHS requirements affecting the operations, including those affecting the customers, suppliers and contractors supplying and serving the departments

· To participate in EHS programs

· To follow the EHS procedures and work instructions


Qualification

· Degree/Diploma in Marketing / Mass Communication / Economics or related discipline.


Experience

· Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in material handling or engineering

industry, preferably in sales and marketing

· Able to work on tasks assigned with minimal supervision

· Possess strong analytical, research and marketing skills

· Good team player

· Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
