Description
- Food Preparation:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping, slicing, marinating, and measuring.
- Follow recipes and presentation guidelines to ensure consistency and quality of dishes.
- Set up and stock workstations with necessary ingredients and equipment.
- Cooking and Plating:
- Cook dishes according to recipes and menu specifications.
- Ensure food is prepared to the correct temperature and quality standards.
- Plate dishes attractively and ensure they are ready for service.
- Kitchen Maintenance and Cleanliness:
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace at all times.
- Follow hygiene and food safety standards to ensure cleanliness in food preparation areas.
- Clean cooking equipment, utensils, and tools after use.
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor and manage food inventory, ensuring that ingredients are stocked and fresh.
- Assist in ordering ingredients and supplies as needed.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of food to minimize waste and spoilage.
- Food Quality and Safety:
- Ensure that all food is prepared and cooked following established safety standards and procedures.
- Inspect ingredients for quality and freshness before use.
- Adhere to food safety guidelines for handling, cooking, and storing food.
- Special Requests and Dietary Requirements:
- Accommodate special dietary requests or restrictions, such as vegetarian, gluten-free, or allergy-free meals.
- Prepare customized meals based on customer preferences, where applicable.
- Time Management:
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment to ensure dishes are prepared and served promptly.
- Prioritize tasks to ensure that food is ready for customers in a timely manner.
- Handling Kitchen Equipment:
- Use kitchen equipment safely and appropriately, including stoves, ovens, grills, fryers, and blenders.
- Maintain kitchen appliances and report any issues or required maintenance.
