About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Tax Planner specializing in US federal income tax. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax compliance, planning, and reporting, working closely with our finance team to optimize tax strategies, ensure accurate filings, and provide insights to support business decisions across our portfolio of eCommerce brands. Experience with California state income tax is a plus but not required.


Responsibilities:

-Oversee and manage all aspects of US federal income tax compliance and planning for WebLife and its portfolio of businesses

-Prepare and review federal tax returns, ensuring compliance with US tax laws and regulations

-Conduct tax research and analysis to identify opportunities for tax savings and risk mitigation

-Collaborate with the finance team to integrate tax considerations into financial planning and reporting

-Stay updated on changes in US federal tax laws and regulations to ensure timely compliance

-Provide support during tax audits and liaise with tax authorities as needed

-Develop and maintain documentation for tax strategies, policies, and procedures

-Assist with state-level tax compliance and planning as needed, with a focus on California (if applicable)


Requirements:

-Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent qualification is strongly preferred

-Minimum of 5 years of experience in US federal income tax planning and compliance

-Solid understanding of US federal tax laws, regulations, and filing requirements

-Proficiency in tax preparation and accounting software

-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

-Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

-Ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage multiple priorities effectively

-Experience with California state income tax is a plus but not mandatory
