Job Description
- Garment Construction: Create, modify, and repair clothing items according to customer specifications, patterns, and designs.
- Fitting: Conduct fittings with clients to assess garment fit and make necessary adjustments for comfort and style.
- Alterations: Perform alterations such as hemming, taking in or letting out seams, and adjusting lengths and widths as needed.
- Fabric Knowledge: Advise clients on fabric choices and care, ensuring the best materials are selected for their needs.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished garments for quality and accuracy, ensuring that all work meets high standards.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, maintaining clear communication throughout the tailoring process.
- Equipment Maintenance: Properly maintain and operate sewing machines and tools, ensuring they are in good working order.
- Proven experience as a tailor or in a similar role, with a strong portfolio of work.
- Proficiency in various sewing techniques and equipment.
- Strong knowledge of garment construction, patterns, and alterations.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
