GEMECO is a packaging company engaged in the manufacture of tin cans for infant dietetics, beverages, meat, fish, fruits, vegetables, and other food products.

GEMECO’s customers include: Angels Milk, Alaska Milk, 555 Sardines, Argentina Corned Beef, Century Tuna, Ligo Sardines, Purefoods Hormel - San Miguel, Swift, Virginia Foods, and Youngstown.

MECHANIC (TECHNICIAN)

Conducts Machine Set-up, troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance service minimizing downtime and maintaining productivity and efficiency. Ensuring machines (seamer) performance meets customer expectation and requirements.       

Ensure customer smooth seaming process and provide suggestions/ recommendations that will further improve production run.          

Qualifications Standard:    

• Vocational/ trade school graduate (automotive, mechanical technology or its equivalent). High school graduate with experience will be considered
• With related experience in overhauling, troubleshooting and maintenance of machines
• Skills in welding, pneumatics, driving and basic electrical an advantage. 
• Familiarity in using precision instruments like jigs, calipers, and dials an advantage.
