  • FREIGHT FORWARDING COMPANY OR LOGISTICS

PREFERRED YEARS EXPERIENCE

  • 3-5 years minimum


JOB SUMMARY


The Sales Manager is responsible for leading the sales team in achieving revenue and profitability targets for the company’s freight forwarding and logistics services. This role involves developing new business opportunities, managing key client accounts, creating strategic sales plans, and ensuring high service standards to meet client needs across sea, air, and land transport solutions


DUTIES AND RESBONSIBLITIES

TASKS

Business Development & Sales Strategy

  • Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities in international and domestic freight forwarding, warehousing, and trucking.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans aligned with company growth targets.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and potential clients.
  • Prepare and present proposals, quotations, and contract negotiations

Client Relationship Management

  • Maintain and grow strong relationships with key accounts and strategic partners.
  • Ensure client satisfaction through regular follow-ups, performance reviews, and issue resolution.
  • Act as the escalation point for high-value or high-impact client concerns.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Lead and mentor a team of sales executives and account managers.
  • Set sales targets and monitor team performance.
  • Organize regular training and development sessions.

Pricing & Profitability

  • Collaborate with operations and finance to ensure competitive and profitable pricing.
  • Monitor gross profit margins and adjust sales strategies accordingly.

Reporting & Performance Monitoring

  • Generate and present regular sales performance reports to management.
  • Analyze sales trends, forecasts, and conversion metrics.


SKILL & QUALIFICATION:

  • Experience in managing sales or marketing teams.
  • Strong knowledge of air freight, sea freight, customs clearance, warehousing, and transportation.
  • Sharp negotiation and networking skills.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Proven record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience in customer service, marketing, or a sales- related field.
  • Strong knowledge of business and sales growth techniques.
  • Exceptional project management skills.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills.
  • Enthusiasm for the company and its growth potential.
  • Willing to travel as required.
