- Customer service: Greet customers, provide assistance, answer questions, and build strong relationships to encourage repeat business.
- Sales support: Understand customer needs to recommend and demonstrate products, explain benefits, and persuade them to make a purchase.
- Transaction processing: Accurately handle cash, credit card, and other payment types using a point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Store maintenance: Keep the sales floor organized and clean, unpack and stock new merchandise, and assist with creating store displays.
- Inventory management: Maintain knowledge of current products and inventory levels to effectively assist customers.
- Goal achievement: Work to meet or exceed sales goals, often collaborating with colleagues to achieve team objectives.
