I. Job Summary

Primarily responsible for soliciting banking business large/small and medium corporate customers to achieve predetermined loan portfolio and profit levels in compliance with the Budget Process.


II. Duties and Responsibilities

  • The formulation of marketing strategies/plans and pre-evaluating possible target accounts;
  • The maintenance of the bank’s competitive position by constantly reviewing/implementing pricing strategies and monitoring of industry developments;
  • The effective packaging of credit products to meet client needs;
  • The cross-selling of other services of the Bank (other than Credit in order to totally satisfy and capture the needs of the customer such as fiduciary, corporate finance and non-lending/credit services in compliance with the total relationship concept of the Bank;
  • The proper implementation of the marketing call program;
  • The close monitoring of the status of customer relationship in order to assess actual performance on business volume and profitability vis-à-vis the account plan/budget.


Credit – Responsible for maintaining a good quality loan portfolio through :

  • Preparation of credit proposals for the granting and/or the renewal fo credit facilities within the required time frame;
  • Constant review/analysis of the respective financial condition of individual accounts;
  • Proper rating of borrower and regular review its risk rating;
  • Continuous updating of industry information/data/events/ trend and dynamics that may affect customer’s financial capabilities;
  • Being sensitive to economic conditions and government policies that may affect a borrower’s business and the quality of our exposure;
  • Visiting the customer’s principal place of business on a regular basis
  • If the account’s place of business (main office/satellite office) is :
  • · Within Metro Manila – at least once a month, however, a client call or a phone call done monthly will suffice in lieu of a visit.
  • Out-of-town for clients whose main office is outside Metro Manila, the AO should at least conduct a visit once a year.
  • The implementation of regular plant visits,

Frequency as follows:

§ Plants located within Metro Manila – twice a year

§ Plants located outside Metro Manila – once a year

  • In certain cases, the AO should visit the place of business i.e. after natural, calamities or labor problems to assess the extent of the effect and how this would affect repayment.
  • The strict implementation of approved terms and conditions.
  • The pricing/re-pricing of each credit transaction upon drawdown or renewals of PNs or term loans ;
  • The early identification of possible risk/problem areas and the formulation of necessary action plans;
  • The collection of all interest and principal payments until full payment is obtained or otherwise transferred to Remedial Management, fi the account becomes a problem loan ;
  • The restructuring of past due accounts if cash flow is still viable ; the initiation of legal or remedial action to acquire the pledged assets if account is deemed not viable.
