1. Patient communication and preparation including removal of garments or jewelry that may interfere with procedure and explaining how the process works

2. Must be able to communicate calmly, compassionately and professionally with all different types of patients including the elderly, ailing and handicapped.

3. Positions patients properly to obtain X-rays

4. Setting the equipment to obtain the best density, detail and contrast of the area being imaged.

5. Taking preventive measures or steps to avoid unnecessary exposure to radiation

6. Applies knowledge of anatomy and physiology to the process in order to help the physician diagnose problems.

7. Must be able to closely follow radiologist or physician’s instructions, prepare radiography equipment positions patients and obtain optimal images for diagnosis.

8. Prepares radiological reports

9. Accomplishes X-ray forms

10. Forwards x-ray image thru e-mail to the Radiologist for reading and interpretation

11. Encodes the official radiological report

12. Maintains and files x-rays forms.

13. Ensures proper maintenance and functioning of x-ray machine

14. Requests supplies needed in the X-ray section.

15. Monitors proper inventory supplies

16. Maintains the cleanliness and orderliness of the X-ray room

17. Prepares and submits monthly report.

18. Records x-ray results in the appropriate logbook.

19. Assist assigned specialist in conducting various ultrasound procedures.

20. Encodes and reports ultrasound results.

21. Ensure timely completion of all assigned tasks.

22. Performs other task assigned by the management.

Must be a Registered Radiologic Technologist.
