Job Title: BOXING CREW

Department: PRODUCTION

Reports to: HR Coordinator/Plant Coordinator


A position within a production facility where the primary responsibility is to package finished products by placing them into boxes, ensuring proper labeling and quantity, and preparing them for every product SKU, often working on a dedicated assembly line or in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities of a Boxing Crew Member

  • Packaging Products: Accurately place finished products into designated boxes, following specific packing guidelines and quality standards.
  • Quality Checks: Inspect products for defects or damage before boxing, ensuring only high-quality items are shipped.
  • Labeling: Affix correct labels on boxes with product details, including SKU numbers, barcodes, and shipping information.
  • Assembly Line Operations: Maintain a consistent pace on the production line, efficiently moving products through the packaging process.
  • Counting and Verifying Quantities: Ensure the correct number of products are placed in each box to match order specifications.
  • Material Handling: Stack and secure boxes on pallets for storage and shipping.
  • Machine Operation: Operate basic packaging equipment such as box sealing machines or label applicators, as needed.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory levels of packaging materials like boxes, labels, and tape.
  • Reporting Issues: Identify and report any quality issues or packaging discrepancies to supervisors.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: High school level
  • With at least work experienced in a food manufacturing plant or similar role
  • Good understanding of how production works
  • Ability to detect basic food safety issues, safety rules and precautionary measures
  • Ability to lift heavy loads and transfer them manually
  • Good communication and team work skills
