The Operations Manager for the poultry industry oversees and manages all operational aspects of the organization, ensuring the efficient and sustainable production, distribution, and sales of poultry products. This role involves strategizing, implementing, and monitoring key processes to achieve organizational goals and maintain quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the company’s objectives.
• Provide leadership and guidance to regional and plant managers across the all areas.
• Drive innovation to optimize processes and achieve cost efficiencies.
• Oversee poultry production processes, including breeding, rearing, and processing.
• Ensure compliance with biosecurity, health, and safety regulations.
• Monitor production performance and address bottlenecks to ensure optimal output.
• Implement and maintain stringent quality control systems across all operations.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, including food safety and animal welfare.

• Analyze financial performance and operational data to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and other departments to align operational goals with business objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture is advantage but not required, Business Management, or a related field
• Proven experience in a senior operational role within the poultry or agribusiness industry.
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
• Excellent knowledge of poultry production, biosecurity, and food safety standards.
• With exposures / experience in poultry farming or dressing plant operations is a great advantage.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Highly flexible or be deployed across organizations
• Very mobile or can travel anywhere in the country at any time
