The Operations Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of daily operations.
This position is responsible for maintaining records, coordinating with suppliers, optimizing workflows, and supporting compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The role also includes monitoring operational performance, training personnel, and assisting in cost control and budget management.
Documentation & Compliance
Maintain records, files, and databases for operational activities, including production, maintenance, and Environmental Management System (EMS) documentation.
Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and other documentation for management review.
Ensure adherence to company policies, regulatory requirements, and safety standards.
Develop and enforce safety protocols for employees working in the facility.
Operational Coordination & Efficiency
Monitor and track work progress to ensure compliance with company standards and efficiency goals.
Oversee the efficient sorting, processing, and recycling of raw materials.
Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure a steady and cost-effective supply of raw materials.
Assist in the development and implementation of strategies aligned with overall organizational goals.
Streamline and optimize operational processes to improve efficiency, productivity, and reduce costs.
Performance Measurement & Process Improvement
Identify and suggest improvements for operational workflows.
Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure and evaluate operational performance.
Analyze data and metrics to make informed decisions and drive improvements.
Leadership & Team Development
Provide strong leadership to the core operations team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Train and develop staff and crew personnel to ensure a high-performing team.
Maintenance & Budget Management
Plan, schedule, and coordinate maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability and efficiency.
Manage and monitor budgets to control costs and meet financial objectives.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field (preferred but not required).
1–3 years of experience in operations, logistics, or supply chain management.
Experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial setting is a plus.
Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
