Job Description

The LPG Plant Engineer is responsible for managing the overall operations of the plant, ensuring efficient, safe, and compliant LPG refilling, quality control, and maintenance activities. The role oversees daily plant performance, inventory accuracy, and staff supervision, while upholding safety standards and minimizing operational losses through proper coordination and reporting.


Position Qualifications:

  • Highest Educational Attainment : College Graduate
  • College Degree : Any Engineering Course (ME, EE, IE etc.)
  • Graduate Studies : N/A
  • Licensure Examinations Passed : PRC is an advantage but not required


General Skills:

Principal Accountabilities

In addition to following ESGVI’s policies and procedures, principal accountabilities include but are not limited to:


PLANT OPERATIONS and PRODUCTIVITY MANAGEMENT

  • Oversee LPG refilling operations, quality control, and bulk unloading/loading procedures.
  • Supervise CMD (Cylinder Maintenance Department) activities such as cleaning, repainting, and segregation.
  • Ensure proper recording of incoming and outgoing cylinders and daily plant inventories.
  • Ensure machineries and plant equipment are well-maintained and are capable of the daily demands of operations.
  • Develop strategic plans among productivity, quality assurance and control to satisfy product quality and customer’s demands.


DATA MONITORING and REPORTING

  • Schedule and analyze workflow of activities thru developing strategic measures that will result in productivity and efficiency.
  • Budget management in control with the daily operating expenses.
  • Oversees daily operating expenses in purchasing of materials and supplies.
  • Schedule expenditure and ensure good plant budgeting and controls.
  • Initiate decisive programs and corrective plans for operations management strategies.
  • Develop improvements on the work process of daily operations setup. Application of newly developed measures to provide customer’s satisfaction and address their concerns.
  • Work closely with inventory management of all stocks of the plant for continuous smooth flow of production.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by the department manager as needed by the department.
  • Produce regular reports as needed by the management team for monitoring of the production and other essential data of the plant operations.
  • Prepare and submit accurate daily reports on LPG bulk receiving, shortages, and operational issues to the management.
  • Report any discrepancies or losses immediately for management intervention.
  • Maintain truthful and transparent reporting at all times.

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT

  • Direct, supervise, and control all personnel under the Plant Operations Department.
  • Participate in the screening process of hiring candidates in coordination with the Recruitment Team.
  • Planning and assigning of work schedule, coaching, training and developing, and discipline employees.
  • Approves overtime of subordinates. Schedule skeletal workforce during holidays.
  • Evaluate employees. Perform job performance appraisal, employee motivation and rewards.
  • Develop teamwork among part of the organization.
  • Manage employees’ tasks and direct them to drive employees’ goals towards work.
  • Provide relevant information. Discuss important matters with employees.
  • Enforcing common policies, procedures and directives among employees.


SAFETY COMPLIANCE

  • Oversees on the Plant permits and compliances including LGU permits, National Government permits: DENR, DOE, DOLE, LLDA, BIR
  • Enforce safety procedures, especially in LPG handling and refilling.
  • Comply with the regulatory requirements of plant operations.
  • Plan and develop programs that will ensure the health and safety of employees.
  • Develop guidelines and policies on safety practice and culture. Establishing standards on maintaining a healthy and safe workplace.
  • Set safety measures on the plant preparedness on emergency situations including natural calamities.
  • Inspect, investigate and document incidents that will manage the safety and health.
  • Establish policies that will promote a healthy and greener environment.
  • Conduct meetings to ensure the safety and compliance of the personnel within authority.
  • Participate in the ‘Occupational Health and Safety’ (OH&S) programs and initiatives in the store, plant and department in accordance with over-all OH&S objectives and directions.
  • Initiate, coordinate and implement with OH&S all safety and health programs.
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the plant and eliminate fire hazards at all times.
