We are seeking a detail-driven Bookkeeper to manage and maintain accurate financial records for a portfolio of rental properties and development projects. This role is responsible for tracking income and expenses, preparing management reports, and ensuring timely reconciliations using QuickBooks Online. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of project accounting and is comfortable working independently while collaborating with ownership to ensure compliance and financial transparency.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records for rental properties and development projects, including all income, expenses, and capital works.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly management reports, including cash flow forecasts and variance analyses to support budgeting and strategic decisions.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, loan balances, and intercompany transactions within QuickBooks Online.
  • Track and report on project costs, progress claims, and retentions, ensuring alignment with approved budgets and project timelines.
  • Collaborate with ownership to ensure timely reporting and compliance with relevant accounting standards and tax regulations.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in bookkeeping for real estate, construction, or property development.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and a strong understanding of bank reconciliations and intercompany accounting.
  • Ability to analyze financial data, identify variances, and present insights clearly.
  • Familiarity with project accounting concepts, including capital works tracking and retention reporting.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of local tax regulations and accounting compliance standards.
