Masons also handle repairs and maintenance of existing masonry structures.

Construction:Masons construct walls, chimneys, and other masonry structures, following blueprints and specifications.
Material Handling:They lift, carry, and transport materials like bricks, blocks, and stones.
Tool Operation:Masons use various hand and power tools, including chisels, hammers, and saws, for cutting, shaping, and finishing materials.
Mortar Mixing:They mix mortar, a cement-based adhesive, and apply it to bind masonry units together.
Layout and Alignment:Masons accurately lay out patterns, forms, and foundations according to plans, ensuring proper alignment and structural integrity.
Repairs and Restoration:They repair and restore damaged or deteriorated masonry structures, using techniques like patching, re-pointing, and brick replacement.
Safety and Quality:Masons adhere to safety guidelines, maintain tools and equipment, and ensure their work meets quality standards.
