Position Overview

The HR Generalist is responsible for supporting day-to-day HR operations across recruitment, employee relations, onboarding, benefits administration, performance management, compliance, and general HR support. This role ensures HR processes run smoothly and contributes to a positive employee experience and organizational culture.


1. Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Coordinate end-to-end hiring for assigned roles, including job posting, screening, interviewing, and candidate communication.
  • Conduct reference checks and prepare job offers.
  • Facilitate new hire orientation and onboarding processes.
  • Maintain recruitment trackers and support workforce planning activities.


2. Employee Relations

  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns.
  • Support conflict resolution and escalate issues as needed.
  • Assist in implementing employee engagement programs and activities.
  • Help maintain a positive and compliant work environment.


3. HR Administration & Compliance

  • Maintain employee records, HRIS data, and personnel files.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with audits, documentation, and policy updates.
  • Support HR reporting, metrics, and documentation.


4. Compensation & Benefits

  • Assist in payroll preparation by providing accurate employee data changes.
  • Coordinate enrollment, updates, and communication for employee benefits.
  • Support the administration of leave programs and attendance management.


5. Performance Management

  • Support the performance review cycle and goal-setting processes.
  • Monitor deadlines, collect evaluations, and provide follow-up communications.
  • Assist managers and employees with performance-related documentation.


6. Training & Development

  • Coordinate training schedules, enrollments, and attendance.
  • Maintain training records and support employee development programs.
  • Assist in identifying training needs and opportunities.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of HR experience in construction industry preferred.
  • Knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; HRIS/HCM experience is a plus.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
