Key Responsibilities

1. Day-to-Day Accounting Operations

  • Manage and execute daily accounting entries in compliance with accounting standards.
  • Process invoices, expense reports, and other financial transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain and ensure the integrity of general ledger accounts.


2. Month-End & Year-End Closing Support

  • Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure accurate accruals, provisions, and adjustments during closing cycles.


3. Fixed Asset Register (FAR) Management

  • Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Register, including additions, disposals, and depreciation.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable accounting standards.


4. Bank Reconciliation

  • Perform timely and accurate bank reconciliations.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between bank statements and ledger balances.


5. Tax Compliance

  • Ensure timely and accurate compliance with all applicable tax regulations.
  • Prepare and file tax returns within statutory deadlines.
  • Assist in responding to tax queries, audits, and notices.


6. Audit Support

  • Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation for internal and external audits.
  • Coordinate with auditors to address queries and ensure a smooth audit process.


7. Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Assist in preparing financial reports and analyses for management.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement within accounting and tax functions.


8. Ad-hoc Responsibilities

  • Perform other finance and accounting-related tasks as assigned by management.


 Qualifications & Requirements

  • CPA or CA certification is required.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in finance and accounting, with strong exposure to:
  • Day-to-day accounting
  • Closing activities
  • Fixed Asset Register (FAR)
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Tax compliance
  • Experience handling Dubai or international accounts is highly preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas, data analysis).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • High attention to detail, integrity, and professional ethics.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
