- Installation: Install wiring, lighting, control, and power systems, and electrical equipment according to blueprints and technical diagrams.
- Maintenance and repair: Maintain and repair existing electrical systems by troubleshooting issues, replacing worn-out components, and performing routine inspections to prevent future problems.
- Testing and inspection: Use testing devices to identify electrical problems, and inspect electrical components like transformers and circuit breakers to ensure proper function.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and fix electrical malfunctions, such as power outages and low voltage, to ensure systems are working efficiently.
- Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building and safety regulations.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including repairs, modifications, and materials used.
- Collaboration: Work with project managers, contractors, architects, and other tradespeople to ensure projects are completed on time.
