Job Description
- Transporting goods: Delivering goods and materials to designated locations in a timely manner
- Transporting people: Chauffeuring company staff to meetings or other destinations
- Maintaining vehicles: Ensuring the vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and ready for use
- Following traffic laws: Abiding by city traffic laws and company safety regulations
- Planning routes: Researching and planning for traffic, construction, and weather delays
- Communicating: Interacting with clients and vendors professionally
- Recording: Keeping mileage and repair records up-to-date, and maintaining delivery and pickup records
- Reporting: Reporting any tickets, accidents, and damage to management
- Defensive driving
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance
- Effective communication
- Punctual delivery history
- Ability to follow verbal directions, read maps, and follow GPS
- Ability to work well alone
- Excellent time management skills
