Job Description

Non-Negotiable Skills:

  • Working knowledge of HRIS, such as Oracle HCM
  • Experience with US Benefits – HSA, US payroll deductions, arrears, refunds, before and after TAX
  • Open Enrollment / Eligibility
  • Health – Medical/Dental/Vision
  • Benefits Matrix Codes interpretation
  • Experience in Oracle
  • Strong Excel proficiency/analysis
  • Advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, Macros)

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update employee records and benefits files
  • Manage general inquiries and complaints via online ticketing system
  • Coordinate daily benefits processing, including enrollments, terminations, and claims
  • Advise and inform employees on the details of the company's benefit programs
  • Utilize HRIS system and various tools to manage cases and resolve issues
  • Take initiative and act proactively
  • Demonstrate strong administration and documentation skills
  • Assist with processing National Medical Support Notice inquiries and enrollments
  • Assist with processing dependent verification documents
  • Assist with various audits of benefits data and special projects as necessary
  • Assist with weekly and monthly invoicing/payment processes
  • Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Apply strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Maintain attention to detail and be a team player
  • Resolve benefit-related issues and respond to queries and requests in a timely manner
  • Evaluate the efficiency and value of current benefit programs and make recommendations for improvement
  • Collaborate with payroll to ensure employer contributions and payroll deductions are processed accurately and timely
  • Maintain and create records, reports, and documentation in accordance with federal, state, and provider regulations

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Benefits Administrator or similar role
  • Knowledge of HRIS and HR processes, with understanding of downstream impacts of transactions on benefits, pay, and other areas
  • Experience with Oracle preferred
  • Strong Microsoft Office and Excel skills
  • Knowledge of benefit plans and compliance requirements
  • Ability to take initiative and act proactively
  • Strong administration and documentation skills
  • Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment with flexibility to quickly adapt to change
