The Collection Specialist primary role is to ensure that the hospital’s credit policies are effectively implemented, monitoring patient’s accounts and collecting payments from patients who have issued promissory notes.

• Enforce the hospital’s credit and collections policies and procedures.
• Verify the accuracy of terms outlined in the promissory notes and record all the details such as repayment dates, interest rates, and any applicable penalties for late payments.
• Prepare communication letters for payment reminders and clearly communicate the upcoming payment due dates to the patient
• Build and maintain positive relationships with patients/relatives to ensure effective communication regarding payment terms and outstanding balances.
• Maintain accurate records of patient interactions, payment agreements, and collection efforts.
• Collaborate with legal counsel when necessary to manage legal actions and escalate collection efforts.

Education / Certification and Licenses:

1. A graduate of Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related disciplines

Experience

1. At least one (1) year of relevant experience
