We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Automotive Shop Manager to oversee the daily operations of our busy repair shop. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, automotive repair knowledge, and a commitment to customer satisfaction. This role involves managing staff, coordinating repair work, maintaining inventory, and ensuring a safe and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Shop Operations:
• Oversee all aspects of shop operations, including scheduling, workflow, and repair quality.
• Ensure all work is performed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with industry standards.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety compliance within the facility.
• Customer Service:
• Greet and communicate with customers in a professional manner.
• Provide accurate estimates, timelines, and updates on vehicle status.
• Resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally.
• Staff Management:
• Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate technicians and service writers.
• Create and manage staff schedules and ensure adequate coverage.
• Foster a team-oriented environment and promote ongoing training.
• Inventory & Equipment:
• Monitor inventory levels and order parts and supplies as needed.
• Ensure all tools and equipment are maintained and in good working condition.
• Administrative Duties:
• Monitor financial performance including labor hours, parts margins, and overall profitability.
• Prepare reports and maintain accurate service records and invoices.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

• College graduate
• 3+ years of experience in an automotive service environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and repair procedures.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Proficiency in shop management software (e.g., Mitchell1, Shop-Ware, Tekmetric, etc.).
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
