The Associate Audit Supervisor plays a critical role in supporting the integrity and accuracy of our inventory and asset management processes. This position involves assisting in leading audit activities, identifying discrepancies, executing corrective actions, and enhancing control procedures for both inventory and assets. The role demands strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and effective collaboration with various teams to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and executing comprehensive audit plans and schedules to ensure timely and thorough audits of inventory and assets.
  • Support coordination of audit activities such as physical inventory counts, asset verifications, cycle counts, and reconciliation of records.
  • Conduct regular audits of inventory and asset locations to verify compliance with company policies and accuracy of records.
  • Identify and investigate discrepancies between physical counts and system data for both inventory and assets, recommending and implementing corrective measures.
  • Collaborate with inventory and asset management teams to resolve discrepancies, update records, and maintain accurate databases.
  • Assist in implementing controls and procedures aimed at minimizing discrepancies and improving accuracy in inventory and asset tracking.
  • Analyze audit results and trends to identify areas for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
  • Support the development and rollout of strategies to strengthen inventory and asset control measures and streamline audit processes.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to management regarding system upgrades, technology enhancements, and training needs to support accurate tracking and audit processes.
  • Promote a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement within the audit team.
  • Prepare and present audit reports that summarize findings, discrepancies, and actionable recommendations to management.
  • Monitor compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory standards related to inventory and asset audits.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices, regulations, and standards pertaining to inventory and asset control and auditing.
  • Assist in implementing updates to audit procedures in response to changes in regulations or internal policies.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in audit, preferably within retail and merchandising sectors
  • Strong personality with assertive communication skills
  • Proven ability to lead audit activities and collaborate with cross-functional teams Detail-oriented and analytical mindset
