Description

We are seeking an experienced Application Packaging Engineer to manage the packaging, testing, and deployment of software applications across enterprise environments. This role ensures seamless application delivery through automation, standardization, and compliance with security and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Package software applications using formats such as .msi, .intunewin, App-V, or MSIX

Create and maintain deployment-ready packages for tools like Microsoft Intune, SCCM, or Ivanti

Automate packaging workflows using PowerShell, VBScript, or custom tools

Coordinate UAT and testing with application owners and end-users

Document installation procedures, rollback steps, and packaging guidelines

Perform compatibility checks across Windows 10/11 environments

Troubleshoot installation failures and log errors during deployment

Collaborate with the security team to validate apps for compliance

Maintain package repositories and version control

Required Skills & Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in application packaging and deployment

Proficiency in tools like Advanced Installer, AdminStudio, Orca, PSADT

Experience with Microsoft Intune, SCCM, or other MDM/UEM platforms

Strong knowledge of PowerShell scripting

Familiarity with Windows Registry, Active Directory, and Group Policy

Ability to analyze and debug install logs and packaging errors

Strong documentation and communication skills

Understanding of software licensing and digital certificate signing
