The challenge is to:
A Senior Windows Engineer is responsible in maintaining Servers, Tools, Applications, and other Services under the I.T. infrastructure. Likewise, initiates improvements, deliver major and complex tasks and projects within the agreed services between DFSC, The Dairy Farm Group and its Business units.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day to day end-user support.
- Perform technical support, troubleshoot, and provide Root Cause Analysis on complex issues effectively and efficiently in line with the SLA required by the business.
- Provide emergency on-site support and coordination, and on-call support as required.
- Resolve and manage advanced to complex service requests in adherence with service level agreements.
- Monitor and review environments using tools, logs, and log analysis and respond to alerts by following procedures or escalating them.
- Review existing document procedures, records, and inventory.
- Review and define operating procedures used for day-to-day support, installation guides, housekeeping procedures, etc.
- Prepares complex and advanced monthly reports for service utilization and availability.
- Perform complex ad-hoc requests.
- Perform advanced to complex software installation and configuration
- Perform advanced to complex system and server administration and monitoring.
- Perform major tasks activities including disaster recovery.
- Performs tuning to improve the efficiency and to maximize the availability of server, storage, backup utility and process automation of software environments and the like.
- Creates scripts for monitoring and to automate administrative tasks.
- Provides improvement to any services under IT infrastructure.
- Ensure that information security policy is considered and always followed, recommends any changes to policy and approved policy changes are documented.
- Assist superiors and other engineers on other tasks and projects as needed.
- Train, KT and delegate tasks to trainees and associates.
Do you have experience in Active Directory?
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer / Information Technology or relevant course study
- Should have at least 5 years of solid Windows System administration experience (AD, DNS, DHCP, WSUS and the like)
- Experience in Active Directory designing, engineering and implementation like migration from old Forest Domain to new Forest Domain is a big plus
- Must have knowledge and experience in troubleshooting and administering Cloud environments like Azure, AWS and GCP
- Strong knowledge of VMWare and Nutanix Virtualization, Veeam Backup and Cohesity Backup
- Knowledge of Graylog, Zabbix, and CheckMK is an advantage
- Knowledge of Qualys Vulnerability Remediations
- Knowledge in Automation or Scripting
- Knowledge of Storage is a plus
- Technical Certification is a plus
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in English
- Highly analytical and able to resolve multiple priorities
- Strong attention to details
- Able to adapt to a fast-changing and multi-cultural environment
- A team player with a good sense of ownership and commitment
