Description

The Accounting Specialist supports the Accounting Department by performing a variety of administrative tasks. This includes processing transactions both manual and using the accounting system, maintaining financial records and ledgers of vendors for reconciliation, assisting with audits, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of accounting data.


  1. Records day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process in the accounting system.
  2. Prepares and processes purchase invoice, checks, account statements, and other financial records.
  3. Reconciles bank statements and assists with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  4. Maintains accurate and up-to-date vendor files and employee reimbursement records.
  5. Monitors accounts payable to ensure timely payments.
  6. Assists in the preparation of financial reports and documentation for audits.
  7. Performs data entry and verify the accuracy of financial data.
  8. Organizes and maintains physical and digital accounting files and records.
  9. Sends proof of payment to staff and vendors including BIR 2307 forms.
  10. Facilitate and reviews liquidation and release of funds to assigned company drivers.
  11. Monitors recurring payments for telecoms, vendors, and other related payables
  12. Follow-up invoice or other related documents from vendors or suppliers.
  13. Maintains manual records of asset inventory and periodic inventory counts.
  14. Supports the Accounting Team with ad-hoc tasks and projects as required.
  15. Performs other tasks that maybe assigned from time to time.

Requirements

Education

  • Graduate of BS in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, or related field.


Experience

  • At least 1–2 years of experience in an accounting or finance-related role (preferred).


Skills

  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and procedures
  • Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel); experience with accounting software is an advantage
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality
