JOB OVERVIEW

As Accounting Department Supervisor, you’ll lead the charge in crafting reliable financial statements, managing monthly account reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. You’ll also oversee budget monitoring and contribute to the evolution of our accounting systems.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare relevant, reliable financial statements and reports for management’s decision-making.

• Develop interim financial statements (6th or 10th working day monthly) and analyze significant variances.

• Monitor updates on accounting standards and regulatory circulars; report significant

changes to VP – FRC.

2. Reconciliation & Daily Transactions

• Oversee and reconcile monthly accounts—bank statements, investments, receivables/payables, taxes, revenues, and expenses.

• Verify cash receipts/disbursements, journal entries, and missing documentation.

• Ensure bank statement receipts are timely; coordinate with banking services for discrepancies.

3. Audit Coordination

• Prepare audit schedules, support interim and annual audits, and assist auditors with queries.

• Consolidate audit adjusting entries and supply soft copies of audited ledgers and financial statements.

• Draft audited financial statements and income tax returns.

• Prepare reports for regulators—BIR, SEC, DOST—at least three days before deadlines.

4. Budgeting & Financial Planning

• Consolidate and monitor annual budgets for KCFAPI and affiliated foundations.

• Develop accounting-related plans and programs and present performance updates monthly, quarterly, and yearly.

5. Tax Compliance

• Manage filing and payment of taxes—percentage, withholding, documentary stamp, and income taxes—on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis.

6. Systems & Team Support

• Assist with accounting system development and maintenance.

• Supervise the accuracy of transactions entered by accounting staff.

• Perform any additional tasks assigned by VP – FRC.


QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy (or related field).

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification.

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
