About Company
Scottland Food Group Corporation acquired the Philippine master franchise of BonChon, a restaurant internationally known for the famous Korean-style fried chicken as well as other delicious and exciting Korean-style fare. BonChon Chicken began in South Korea and successfully became a well-known global franchise with over 400 restaurants in various cities like Los Angeles, Boston, New York, Dubai, Singapore and many more. Mr. Jinduk Seo, the founder of BonChon, desired to create the perfect korean fried chicken recipe and share it to the world. This is why he spent years perfecting the distinct chicken cooking technique that ensures a paper-thin crispy texture outside and tender, juicy meat inside. BonChon meaning “my hometown” in Korean, is a global restaurant/QSR brand that originated in South Korea in 2002. It began making waves in the global arena in 2006 as it entered the US market, captivating the discerning palates of the citizens of New York, San Francisco, Boston, Virginia, and New Jersey. Its cult following propelled it to international shores, with stores in Asia (Bangkok, Manila, Jakarta, and Singapore) quickly following. Now, the biggest Korean Global Restaurant is making waves in the Philippine food scene Within 8 years since its opening in the country, 190 stores have been put up. After opening its first store in November 2010, BonChon has grown to 190 branches with 121stores in Metro Manila and 69 others in key locations in just a span of 6 years, making it one of the fastest-growing Quick Service Restaurants in the country, currently employing more than 2,000 personnel. With this rapid expansion, BonChon plans on opening more branches in major areas nationwide and is also currently open to franchising.
