We need an Accountant for our AU account who will handle our client’s accounting requirements. The ideal candidate must be proficient in accounting software with strong attention to detail.
As an Associate Accountant (AU Account), your duties and responsibilities include:
Bookkeeping
- Reconcile client transactions in Xero and MYOB against bank statements.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions in Xero.
- Provide Xero and MYOB support to clients via email.
- Maintain data integrity and accuracy within the accounting software.
- Import and reconcile sales and purchase invoices from point-of-sale systems into Xero.
- Manage cash and EFTPOS clearing account reconciliations in Xero.
- Process monthly accrual adjustments in Xero.
Financial Reporting
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss) with supporting documentation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date Fixed Asset Registers and Depreciation Schedules.
- Create Budget Reporting, as requested by clients.
- Prepare Business Performance Reports on a Monthly or Quarterly Basis.
Payroll Management
- Manage payroll processing for a single client using Xero.
- Prepare and lodge monthly and quarterly superannuation payments for multiple clients.
- Draft and compile payroll tax information for submission.
- Draft Monthly Instalment Activity Statements for clients.
- Ensure compliance with relevant payroll and superannuation legislation.
Business Activity Statement (BAS) / Instalment Activity Statements (IAS)
- Conduct transaction reviews for monthly and quarterly BAS/IAS preparation.
- Reconcile bank accounts to ensure accurate financial data.
- Generate and maintain essential reports from Xero/MYOB for audit and compliance purposes.
- Prepare and lodge IAS or BAS using Xero Practice Manager or Xero Tax.
Administrative Assistance
- Provide support for various accounting software applications, as needed.
- Maintain professional correspondence with clients via email.
- Organize and maintain accurate financial records and workpapers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Financial Management, or a related field.
- Has at least 1-2 years of experience as an Accountant.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, MYOB, or similar) is a strong advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Team player with a collaborative work style.
- Self-motivated and results oriented.
- Can work in a fast-paced environment.
- Willing to be assigned to Clark, Pampanga.
