Role Description

The Chief Data Scientist at Betterteem holds a vital leadership position, serving as a key representative who builds and nurtures strong relationships with clients, data partners, regulatory agencies, and industry leaders. This role is essential for advocating ethical data sharing while driving the development of data products that harness employee experience data to create meaningful organizational change.

In this capacity, the Chief Data Scientist will lead Betterteem’s data science and artificial intelligence efforts, ensuring that advanced analytical techniques are seamlessly incorporated into Betterteem’s service offerings and that research insights are translated into actionable strategies. This position demands a strong champion for innovation, using cutting-edge technologies while fostering a collaborative and forward-thinking work environment.

As a proactive leader, the Chief Data Scientist will build and mentor a high-performing AI team, enhancing their technical skills, business insights, and communication abilities, ensuring Betterteem remains at the forefront of leveraging employee experience data to address organizational challenges effectively.

Qualifications

• An advanced degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• Master's or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field.
• Experience in Pattern Recognition.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently and remotely.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with distributed analytic processing technologies (S3, Presto, Hive & Spark).
• Strong data manipulation and quantitative programming skills in SQL, R, and/or Python.
• Expertise in statistical analysis methods, most notably regression analysis, causal inference, statistical learning, and experimentation methods.
