Job Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed architectural drawings, spot details, and technical documents using AutoCAD
• Create precise construction details, sections, and elevations to ensure accurate building execution
• Interpret architectural drawings to produce clear and comprehensive details
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure design feasibility and buildability
• Produce detailed shop drawings from preliminary design sketches and architectural plans, including elevations, sections, and close-up details
• Collaborate on design solutions to resolve potential construction issues
• Maintain accurate documentation and update drawings as necessary
• Ensure that all drawings and specifications comply with relevant codes, standards, and project requirements
• Review shop drawings and submittals to ensure alignment with design intent and specifications
• Participate in design meetings, presenting detailing solutions and addressing potential construction issues
• Create and maintain project documentation, including RFI & RFA responses, change orders, and field reports
• Conduct site visit to gather data, assess conditions, and provide insights that inform design development and detailing
• Coordinate with structural, mechanical, and electrical engineers to integrate their input into architectural detailing

Required Skills & Qualifications

Degree or diploma in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or a related field w/ 3 to 5 years of experience both in detailing and actual site execution. Proficiency in AutoCAD software.

Strong understanding of building materials, construction techniques, and detailing

Knowledge of architectural design principles and industry standards

Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings

Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Good communication and teamwork skills
