Neutral Trade is seeking a Lead Backend & Smart Contract Engineer to own the technical stack powering our vault products, automation systems, and exchange integrations. You’ll lead and maintain smart contract and backend development, manage production infra, and ensure the reliability and scalability of vault strategies that move millions in daily volume.

Key Responsibilities

Smart Contracts (Rust + Anchor):

● Design, deploy, and maintain Solana programs for vaults, fee logic, and automation hooks.

● Manage contract upgrades, reconfigurations, and rent-efficient memory allocation.

● Integrate with Drift, Kamino, Jupiter, and lending protocols.

Backend Systems (TypeScript):

● Build and maintain backend services and automation bots handling:

• ○ Vault creation and rebalancing
• ○ PPS (price per share) updates and inflation logic
• ○ Fee collection and distribution
• ○ Deposit/withdrawal actions, cross-chain bridging (CCTP, Fordefi, Copper, Ceffu)

● Manage TG alert systems, RPC handling (Helius, custom nodes), and downtime recovery procedures.

CEX / Custody Integrations:

● Develop and maintain integrations with Binance, OKX, and Bybit APIs.

● Handle wallet and custody interactions via Fordefi (SOL + EVM).

● Oversee bridging, settlement, and reconciliation processes between onchain and CEX accounts.

Infrastructure & Reliability:

● Manage task schedulers, cron jobs, and automation scripts across main and backup servers.

● Implement robust fallback systems for RPCs and downtime management.

● Handle private key and API key rotation securely without production interruption.

Collaboration & Leadership:

● Coordinate with quants to integrate trading logic.

● Mentor junior engineers or contractors as the technical lead for all backend/onchain systems.

● Contribute to audits, code reviews, and technical documentation.

● CEX Integrations: Binance / OKX / Bybit REST + WebSocket APIs

● Infra: Linux servers (Vultr), Cron, Docker, PM2, Telegram bot APIs

● Bridging / Custody: CCTP, Fordefi, Copper, Ceffu

● Monitoring: TG bot alerts, custom dashboards

Requirements

Must Have:

● 2+ year building on Solana (Rust + Anchor)

● 2+ year backend engineering (TypeScript, Node.js)

● Strong understanding of DeFi mechanisms (vaults, oracles, lending, perpetuals)

● Experience integrating with CEX APIs (REST + WebSocket)

● Familiarity with bridging, custody flows, and oracle price accuracy

● Production experience deploying and maintaining Solana programs

● Comfortable managing private keys, RPCs, and high-value transaction systems

Nice to Have:

● Prior experience in trading, quant, or DeFi protocol development

● Exposure to custody / compliance flows (Copper, Ceffu, Fordefi)

● Knowledge of cross-chain messaging or rollups

● Contributions to open-source Solana or DeFi projects
