We’re now scaling our ecosystem and treasury operations — and we’re looking for a Chief DeFi Officer (CDO) to lead our on-chain capital strategy, liquidity deployment, and risk-optimized yield operations across multiple chains and protocols.

Your Mission

As Chief DeFi Officer, you’ll own everything related to on-chain capital management — designing, executing, and optimizing how our treasury and protocol liquidity work.

You’ll shape strategies that balance sustainability, yield, and security — ensuring that Gopher’s assets and ecosystem remain healthy across cycles.

What You’ll Do

• Lead Gopher’s on-chain treasury: stablecoins, native tokens, liquidity pools, and vault allocations.
• Design and implement DeFi strategies for yield generation, risk hedging, and cross-chain liquidity.
• Work with risk, quant, and protocol teams to create capital-efficient mechanisms (staking, emissions, buybacks, DAO operations).
• Establish frameworks for treasury diversification, liquidity provisioning, and automated rebalancing.
• Collaborate with partnerships team to integrate Gopher assets with top DeFi ecosystems (Aave, Curve, Uniswap, Lido, etc.).
• Monitor on-chain performance metrics and ensure transparency through analytics dashboards.
• Report treasury and yield performance to the core team and governance community.

You’re a Great Fit If You

• Have 5+ years in crypto, trading, or DeFi protocol operations.
• Have managed or advised a protocol or DAO treasury (or at least survived a few depegs).
• Are fluent with DeFi mechanics — liquidity pools, staking, yield farming, stablecoin systems, collateralization.
• Use tools like DeBank, Nansen, DefiLlama, Dune, Zapper, Arkham.
• Think in terms of risk-adjusted returns, not just APY screenshots.
• Communicate clearly and can structure treasury strategy like a fund manager — but with on-chain transparency.
• (Bonus) Have contributed to or governed a DeFi protocol before.
