Qualifications
· Minimum 3 years of experience in quality inspection or quality assurance. Required: Experience in printing or packaging industry.
· Strong knowledge of inspection processes, AQL standards, and quality control methodologies.
· Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
· English (required): Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Mandarin (required): Ability to communicate with China-based teams and suppliers.
· Willingness to travel within Southeast Asia (Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Philippines, etc.) as needed.
Key Responsibilities
1. Inspections
· Conduct inline inspections to monitor production quality in real-time.
· Perform final inspections to ensure products meet customer specifications and standards.
· Document inspection results clearly and communicate findings to internal teams and suppliers.
2. Quality Audits
· Conduct Quality Fundamentals Audits (QFTs) to verify adherence to company standards and procedures.
· Support compliance and security audits, including corrective action follow-ups.
· Identify trends, root causes, and propose preventive measures to improve supplier performance.
3. Supplier Support
· Collaborate with suppliers to provide guidance on quality improvement initiatives.
· Support implementation of corrective actions and track progress.
· Serve as a local point of contact for factory quality and compliance matters.
4. Reporting & Documentation
· Create accurate records of inspections, audits, and compliance activities.
· Prepare summary reports for internal management to support data-driven decisions.
· Highlight risks, gaps, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
5. Regional Support
· Travel to factories in Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia, and other Asia countries as needed.
· Assist with onboarding new suppliers and ensuring adherence to company quality standards.
6. Balance Loyalty
· Champion Balance’s interests and product quality above all, ensuring factory processes, production plans, and priorities align with our standards.
· Monitor mass production closely, flagging risks such as overproduction of non-priority items, improper use of new equipment, or deviations that could impact Balance products.
· Serve as the trusted advocate for Balance at the factory, maintaining integrity and independence in all quality decisions.
· Make proactive recommendations to protect product quality, timelines, and brand reputation, even when it requires challenging the factory or suggesting corrective actions.
